    it makes sense.
    1. you read 100 package in the store.
    2. you want to delete the row.
    3. I change the number to 1000.
    4. you think u delete 100!!

this is bad. you delete something you don't know.
    Sako.

Do you really care if the values changed if you are tossing the row,
    anyway?

Here is an overview of the issue:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
            Key: CAY-276
Summary: No optimistic locking support for delete
           Type: Bug

         Status: Assigned
       Priority: Major

        Project: Cayenne
     Components:
                 Cayenne Core Library
       Versions:
                 1.2 [DEV]

       Assignee: Mike Kienenberger
       Reporter: Mike Kienenberger

        Created: Wed, 16 Feb 2005 11:00 AM
        Updated: Wed, 16 Feb 2005 11:00 AM

    Description:
I just realized that I never added support for optimistic locking on
    deletes.

I wrote a test case a few minutes ago to verify that Andrus didn't sneak
    support in later.
I'm working on a patch for this in Cayenne 1.2 right now.
