Guys, while all these tips are really useful I still have to click on
something!!! I'm simply used to the old PB (Windows) behaviour that you could have
the app stopped upon the next build. I don't want to remember pressing a
button to stop the current running app before re-running it. This is not only
burdensome but also costs me a lot of nerves. Sorry if I'm a little bit
nitpicking here.
I've come up with a solution that requires a little bit code: in my
Application.java I start up the app as normal but I catch the exception that occurs
when the port is already in use (I use -WOPort). Then I send my running app a
DirectAction that terminates it. Sure, this needs some custom code but I'm
happy with that solution ...
If anybody is interested, I'm of course willing to share the code ...
