    Ulrich,

thanks for helping me with this off-topic problem.

I made another attempt at profiling. When I was just about to report that the only visible change was that there were 2 additional threads in my application, jMechanic suddenly started working. I don't get the output you mention, but jMechanic is now doing fine. For no obvious reason. But do we need that if things turn out fine? I just hope it lasts.

    Best
    Pierre

    Hi Pierre,

the application should start with this output:
HPROF ERROR: unable to map JVMPI obj ID to hprof obj ID in globalref_alloc HPROF ERROR: unable to map JVMPI obj ID to hprof obj ID in globalref_alloc
After several seconds the normal output from the application should start.

    Makes no difference.

    HI Pierre,

you have to launch the App in the debug mode.

    Hi!

I (as well as my colleagues) never actually got jMechanic to work. All
seemed installed correctly. I used the "profiled application" launch
configuration and all worked well except that all jMechanic views
remained empty. BTW, those views had to be opened manually. There is
no default perspective to show them.

This was with bot WOLips 1.0.1 on Eclipse 2.1 & WOLips 1.0.4 on
Eclipse 2.1.1. In all cases jMechanic was at version 0.5.1. We are are
running Java 1.3.1b2 on Windoze 2000.

Is anybody else seeing this odd behavior?

    Pierre

    Hi Frederic,

there should be "Profiled WOApplication" launch config.

Select the Application.java in the package explorer and choose
Run->Debug... from the menu. In the wizard select "Profiled
    WOApplication" and click new.

I have seen on the hompage that we can use jMechanic to profile our
    WOApp.

Does anyone have some more information?

I cannot figure how to launch an WOapps within a jMechanic...
