Funny, I had the exact same problem for the first time yesterday (after installing a Java update). I managed to get it to launch in the end by changing the 'working directory' in the 'run' arguments to be relative to my workspace (rather than an absolute path). I have no idea why this made any difference, but it works now :)

I finally got Eclipse running on this "other" machine, and upon
building/running a test project, I get the following error:
BUILD FAILED: /path/to/build.xml:43 taskdef class Application cannot be
found
I'm sure it's simple, but nothing in the archives sheds any light on this.
