    I Finally found the cause of my symptoms:

    The symptom was:

    which seems to happen if the woproject.jar is loaded _before_ the
    ant.jar

    I removed the woproject an cayenne jars from /Library/Java/Extensions
    and the WOLips install works fine :-)
