as you said, i wont ask you why, cos i understand how you feel. lol
yes there is a way to do that. but don't imagine its free nice way :)
however, try it.
there is a possibility in XCode to open the PB.project (the old project
format) and create/update the XCode format.
PB.project is under WOLips always up-to-date.
What's mean, this *should* work.
