Beware that "CVS vs. Subversion" is the #1 cause of flame wars in
many developer communities lately ;-)
I personally don't care either way as a programmer (both work), but
from the server maintenance perspective I'd prefer SVN because of
better permissions control, integration with Apache and most
operations performance.
Or so I think, as I've never run it on the server myself. But I ran
CVS and it is rather inflexible. The only way of access I am
comfortable with is SSH tunneling by trusted users.
My $0.02 - like I said either way is fine with me.
