    We moved a large WO project from CVS to Subversion and have been happy with it. However, we did notice that Subversion and Subclipse were extremely slow in synchronizing when we ran it through Apache. It also ate up a lot of CPU. We switched to the standalone SVN installation and it was much faster (comparable to CVS). Maybe it was something we did wrong with the Apache install.

    Yeah, I agree ... Since you're going above-and-beyond the call of
    duty by hosting, if SVN is less pain for you, I say go for it.
    However, I don't currently use SVN. What "features" of the
    Subversion Eclipse plugins should I prepare to get really annoyed with?
