Thanks for the help.
I recently installed an Oracle Client, with an old jre.
It overwrote the path variables to the old version -which I had to delete,
thus, solving the problem.

Have you tried setting the JVM in the Eclipse settings?
Go to the menu
Window->Preferences->Java->Installed JREs
and set the JRE to a version 1.4.1 or greater.
If no such JRE shows up, you might need to install a JRE separately and "ADD ..." it in this preference pane.
However a new JRE should be included in any current version of Eclipse.
If this doesn't help, you might have set anolder JRE in your project, overwriting the global Eclipse settings.
You can change that in the Project preferences -> Java Compiler.
