Ouch, that may be one of those unrelated cases where Mac OS X / the
classpath / the space-time continuum got messed up somehow. That
really hurts.
I have one Workspace for example where my JVM settings are a total
mess. I have never changed something there, never played around with
it, it's just completely messed up - I got it working again, but I
took this as a chance to create some more intelligent structure in my
workspaces, so a "build all" does not take ages to complete ...

As far as I know - it is not necessary. I had never to restart my box
after an Eclipse / WOLips install.
