    Hi all,

    doing some research turned up, that the xalan implementation has
    compatibilitty
    issues with Java 1.5, as stated in the compatibility notes:

    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/compatibility.html

    See item 13. Now I simply removed all xalan jarfiles from my JVM's
    classpath and
    it worked again.
