I had also weird problems with class cast exceptions on startup that
where caused by a broken PB.project. I don't know what caused the
broken file, but rebuilding (delete the file, clean the project)
helped. I had to that for the application and two of the frameworks.

This is just as a hint for people seeing weird problems coming
"overnight" during app startup ...
