- check the option "Entity Modeler open in extra window"
- open a model
- quit and re-open Eclipse

now the main window has the same layout as the entity modeler window, when you'd expect it to be like the Java perspective or whatever you had last. I n particular, it starts in the correct layout but after half a second it changes...
