Scheme-based custom association vs. binding-validation

    The WebObjects 5.4 TemplateParser allows scheme-based custom
    associations as binding values in .wod declarations like:
    ...{
    value = scheme: expression;
    }

    or
    ...{
    value = localization: foo.bar;
    }

    See also:
    http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSXServer/Reference/WO54_Reference/com/webobjects/appserver/parser/package-summary.html

    With binding-validation turned on, these expressions throw
    validation-errors for these entries and the following bindings until the
    next }.

    The TemplateParser does not recognize these bindings as scheme-based
    associations if they are quoted.

    Including the colon in the Allowed Binding Characters preferences and
    adding various Binding Validation Rules did not solve the problem.

    Has anyone solved this problem or got a workaround?

    with regards,
