    So the deal is that this isn't a feature of eogen, per se ... It's an
    attribute of the particular templates. The "Defines" section lets you
    define any arbitrary key-value pairs, and those key-value pairs are
    accessible from the eogenerator templates. It just so happens that
    the default templates (which are inherited from some ancient
    eogenerator rosetta stone, I think from Rentzsch, maybe?) define an
    override "EOGenericRecord" variable. So it's sort of a weird thing --
    unclear where to document it. Somewhere on the wiki :)
