When a project with a launch configuration is deleted, the launch configuration is also deleted. It used to ask if you wanted to delete it or not. Other plugins (TestNG, JUnit) do not delete the launch configurations. This is useful if you, for example, install team support and want to delete and re-import the projects. If the launch configurations are left, they are usable with the projects when they are imported.
