I thought so. In the past, when the maven plugins changed there were
many projects that stopped building, and now, I think, everybody puts
version info into their projects, and all the plugins the maven folk
release also use specific versions as well.

Actually, the archetype-catalog.xml references the snapshots:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<archetype-catalog>
<archetypes>
<archetype>
<groupId>org.objectstyle.woproject.maven2</groupId>
<artifactId>woapplication-archetype</artifactId>
<version>2.0.16</version>
<repository>http://webobjects.mdimension.com/maven2/releases
repository>
<description>WOProject WO App 2.0.16</description>
</archetype>
<archetype>
<groupId>org.objectstyle.woproject.maven2</groupId>
<artifactId>woframework-archetype</artifactId>
<version>2.0.16</version>
<repository>http://webobjects.mdimension.com/maven2/releases
repository>
<description>WOProject WO FMWK 2.0.16</description>
</archetype>
<archetype>
<groupId>org.objectstyle.woproject.maven2</groupId>
<artifactId>woapplication-archetype</artifactId>
<version>2.0.17-SNAPSHOT</version>
<repository>http://webobjects.mdimension.com/maven2/snapshots
repository>
<description>WOProject WO App 2.0.17-SNAPSHOT</description>
</archetype>
<archetype>
<groupId>org.objectstyle.woproject.maven2</groupId>
<artifactId>woframework-archetype</artifactId>
<version>2.0.17-SNAPSHOT</version>
<repository>http://webobjects.mdimension.com/maven2/snapshots
repository>
<description>WOProject WO FMWK 2.0.17-SNAPSHOT</description>
</archetype>
</archetypes>
</archetype-catalog>
should this be changed? What is released?

What is this 2.0.17 release that you speak of?

Did I miss an announcement? What is this 2.0.17 release that you
speak of?

That is with the 2.0.17-SNAPSHOT archetype. Is there released version?
Perhaps the problem is I don't know about all these releases. What
plugins are released?
I am still using snapshots for everything. Maybe some errors will go
away if I switch!
