Thanks for the advice. I think that this is what I will do. But there
is a general issue that troubles me:
1) Install Eclipse 3.4.2 owned by root:admin
OK --- Eclipse works fine
2) Install WOLips with the Software Update Manager
Problem --- Eclipse does not start
3) Change ownership to the user who runs Eclipse
OK
So, it appears that
1) The bug is either WOLips or Eclipse 3.4.1, not the binary installer
2) We cannot have a system-wide installation of Eclipse 3.4.2 with
WOLips.
I have to admit that I prefer system-wide install owned by the admin,
not me... Again, all is OK with Eclipse 3.4.1 + WOLips
On a related note: When I install WOLips via the Software Update
Manager, does it include the binary apps like RuleModeler.app etc....?
