That did the trick... thanks for your help.
But now I must launch CayenneModeler.app from Terminal as Finder crashes 
every time I (try to) open a new window... I just upgraded to OSX 10.4.9 
today and my machine's been acting a little funny ever since.  A word of 
caution to you guys using OSX...
