    Correct - this allows me to keep track of things fixed between
    releases, and then include them all in release notes.

    The procedure is roughly the following:

    * those issues that do not affect code directly (like sysadmin
    requests), or those with "Won't fix" or "Duplicate" resolution I
    "resolve & close".

    * bugs and new features are "resolved", and "closed" later, on a
    release day. Excel report for such issues generated from Jira is used
    to build RELEASE-NOTES.

    * and of course it is important to indicate the right fix release
    (currently 1.1 or 1.2 [DEV]) so that the report is accurate.
